Manufacturers recommend that air conditioning maintenance is carried out every two years to ensure that it’s running efficiently. Your AC isn’t checked within your MOT, so it’s important to make time to get your AC checked along with other car maintenance checks.
Our AC service will diagnose any issues and then we can repair them. In our AC service, we carry out an antibacterial treatment and vacuum test to make sure there are no gas leaks to keep you and your passengers safe.
If you require an air conditioning service or repair we are in easy access for those in and around Edgware, Colindale, Kingsbury, Queensbury, Burnt Oak and Stanmore.
If you smell an unpleasant odour when you switch on your AC, then this could be a sign that your vehicle requires an antibacterial clean. Your vehicle may need an antibacterial clear because over time bacteria and mould builds up in the air con system which can cause the odour. Not only do you experience an unpleasant smell but breathing in the bacteria from the air being blown into the vehicle via the AC can cause a whole host of health problems including sore throats and allergy flare ups.
If your AC is blowing out warm air or working intermittently, your vehicle may need a recharge which makes the air cool again. To carry out a recharge, the refrigerant from the AC system needs to be replaced and this is what will bring the cool air back again. During our recharge, we use industry-approved R1234YF and R134A refrigerant gas.
